Drink up Summer

Drink up Summer

A hot summer day calls for a refreshing cocktail. A light, crisp, cool Rosé Spritzer is the perfect palate pleaser. Spritzers are simply cold wine mixed with club soda, a delightful combination! You can use any wine, but there is something about a Rosé that adds an element of fun and sophistication. From brunches to barbecues, engagement celebrations to birthday parties, this summer cocktail recipe will be a hit with your guests.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 ounces (6 tablespoons) rosé wine, chilled
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) soda water
  • Fresh strawberries (optional)
  • Thyme sprig, for garnish
  • Crushed ice

How to Make It:

  1. Fill your favorite wine glasses with ice
  2. Pour the wine into the glass, then add the soda water. Gently stir once.
  3. Add thyme to garnish
  4. Serve and enjoy!

When making this spritzer, the recommended ratio is three parts wine to one part soda water. The goal is to dilute the wine slightly, but not too much. The best part? You don’t have to be a master bartender to make this drink. Don’t have club soda handy? Feel free to improvise. Use flavored sparkling water, Sprite or even ginger ale as a substitute.

If you would prefer a fruitier taste, you can incorporate sliced strawberries for added sweetness and freshness. We recommend pairing this Rosé Spritzer with one of our favorite delicious summer salads.  (Add link to salad blog)

Fresh, fancy and fizzy, this Rosé Spritzer is sure to be your go-to drink for the summer (or any other day of the year). Enjoy!
